Deep Dive: FLCA

Florida Citizens Alliance is a special interest group that believes public schools should either bend to their political ideology or be defunded. They are not interested in serving the needs of all families, and they definitely are not interested in creating an environment where youth of all beliefs and backgrounds feel supported, uplifted, and free to express themselves.  Their leaders do not have children in public K-12 education. What they do have is the ear of the Governor, Education Commissioner, and senior leadership at the Florida Department of Education.
